A family project that was born in the vineyard and constantly evolves to achieve high quality white wines, maintaining its identity and origin intact: Biscay.
In Gorka Izagirre we contribute to the development and value of Biscayan wine.
The true heroes of our winery are our local grapes, Hondarrabi Zuri and Hondarrabi Zerratia. These delicate varieties are descendents of Basque farm houses, grown in the Northeast Atlantic, they are cultivated on the steep and rolling slopes of the Basque Country. The bunches are small and concentrated which keeps them full of character and personality, the result is a wine with a unique identity and a product of our lands.
Hondarrabi Zuri: freshness, joy, fruit and power.
Hondarrabi Zerratia: elegance, volume, white flowers and complexity.
Our Hondarrabi Zuri and Hondarrabi Zerratia grapes are grown in small vineyards in the province of Biscay. We meticulously care for forty hectares of vines, divided into small plots. The coastal air, steep hilly slopes, southeast morning sun, well-aerated plots green lush hillsides impart a unique freshness and character to our wines.
