The Gorka Izagirre winery produces three of the best txakoli according to the Gourmets Wine Guide.
· Our AMA (2015) has been the highest rated txakoli, not only in Bizkaia, but in all the txakoli D.O., with 95 points out of 100.
AMA is the pure expression of the mature Hondarrabi Zerratia that we make only in the warmest vintages of Bizkaia. The exceptional summer of 2015, together with the exhaustive work of the field and winery teams, has allowed us to create AMA, an elegant, subtle and silky wine, which not only stimulates sensations but also stimulates feelings.
· Our wine aged on lees G22 (2019) is positioned in the 6th position in the Table of Honour of the Best White Wines of Spain of the Gourmets Wine Guide 2021. Moreover, as years of experience have taught us, this vintage of G22, being still a young wine, has a long way to go to improve in the bottle.
· Gorka Izagirre (2019) is the only young txakoli from Bizkaia with 93 points. A combination of our local varieties Hondarrabi Zuri and Hondarrabi Zerratia. An excellent wine as an aperitif that goes perfectly with seafood and fish. Cheerful, appetising, dry, fresh and very pleasant on the finish.
In this 36th edition of the Guía Vinos Gourmets, 3,740 wines from all Denominations of Origin have been tasted.
